Words

WORDS play a very important in our daily converse with others.  A small child utters his first word —MA, and thereafter, learns more words.  Actually, WORDS have to be repeated to the child —– one at a time — till he can say that particular word well.  The child has his own set of words, when he starts, and it takes time for the mother to decipher what exactly the child wants.

WORDS ———–so integral to us, humans.  The ability to communicate with our families and friends should be cultivated in the right manner.

Here is something that I came across yesterday.  This was something that I had noted down, in my diary, in 1998.  This is how it goes:

WORDS

A CARELESS word
May kindle strife
A CRUEL word
May wreck a life
A BITTER word
May hate instill
A BRUTAL word
May stab and kill.

BUT…

A GRACIOUS word
May smooth the way
A JOYOUS word
May light the day
A TIMELY word
May lessen stress
A LOVING word
May heal and bless.

Let us then, learn to weigh our words, before uttering them.  It is often said, ———-THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK.  The SPOKEN WORD, cannot be taken back, once out of the mouth.  It is out there, before the one spoken to, and can either HEAL or HURT, SMOOTH THE WAY or WRECK A LIFE, INSTILL HATE or LIGHT THE DAY.
